Where Have I Been?

I’d like to apologize to anyone who has been wondering where I’ve been all year and give a little update.

It’s been nearly a year since my first and only post on AGC. In that interim, I’ve been raising and homeschooling my four children (as of this writing, ages 7, 6, 3, and 1), working with my husband to buy our first home, freelancing for some amazing bloggers, attending my local church, addressing some health issues, as well as brushing up my nominal guitar skills and spending far, far too much time on social media (like most of us).

While a lot of stories and subjects have come and gone that I would have loved to write about for AGC, I simply haven’t had the time.

And that’s okay.

As I write this little letter to you, my reader, I have a three-year-old on my lap counting the buttons on my shirt, a 1-year-old babbling on the baby monitor because the three-year-old pulled 500 pounds of books off the shelf and woke him up, dinner to prep, a house full of crumbs and cat fur and Legos, and an ironworker husband working 12-hour shifts.

Life’s a little busy, and I praise God for his incredible providence and his blessings through this season.

This blog is not a ministry that has been neglected, but a creative outlet that has been idle. And, of course, many other legitimate ministries have provided no shortage of the sort of edifying, informative, and challenging content I hope to be able to share via AGC.

Still, I would like to be purposeful in setting aside the time to take advantage of this wonderful tool, this wonderful outlet. Plus, WordPress Premium ain’t free, y’all. I’m paying for it, I should be doing something with it!

So, as much as I am able to carve out time in my fairly firm schedule, I’d like to begin writing again, and I hope you’ll enjoy what I have to say.

Expect upcoming posts on Christian life, news, apologetics, and more.

Thank you for being here.

Alyssa
